Thank you so much, that helped very much! My beardie has been recovering from being sick, so I though that was a new illness. Now that I have read this I have two theories... 1. When I give my guy a bath latley, little peices of what I thought to be his skin was floating in the water, so maybe it does mean the shedding thing. Now 2. My beardie is afraid of super worms, I had never given them to him untill yesterday and tried again today. He gets stress marks all over and turns his beard black when I try to give thoes gross things to him. Today I picked one up with tweezers to give it to my beardi and same thing happened only this time he opend his mouth really wide and kinda of hissed and ran away. About five min after that is when he bulged his eyes. ( maybe its a preditor thing).
Why wouldn't my beardie like superworms?

if your beardie is still small do not feed it superworms. only food that fits the space between its eyes can be fed.

it might be hissing and running because the superworm is too big. an adult beardie can eat them, but not babies.
feeding your beardie food that is too big can cause compaction, which means death for them.

hes about 3 yrs old but small and he wont even eat meal worms! I took him over from someone who neglected to prperly feed him and never gave any kind of UVB lights or heating. He was very malnurished and sick and He is just now starting to be more active and has better coloring. I am force feeding him with a syringe.

That's great he's doing better! Meal-worms really aren't good for him either but you can order a few repti/calciworms or dubia to see if he'll eat those by himself. Is he just picky and won't eat what you give him or is he unable to eat by himself?

The eye bulging thing is seriously creepy, probably felt good to get that old skin off though!

He is capable of eating by himself, Last week he ate the meal worms for the first time and he ate about 15 of the really fast and then wouldnt eat any more live foos since then, do you think they were bitting his mouth? he wont even eat greens I have to puree them and feed him with the syringe and at that he clinches his mouth until he likes it off his nose, then i can get most of it in until the next time he licks again.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
