I have a leatherback beardie named Suzie that I take outside a fevv days every vveek for around 15 minutes. I ovvn a guinea pig fence-pen and put her in there. Before yesterday, she had been confined to that space as she could not jump over.
Okkkay so, I had vvent into the garage to get a vvater bottle from the outside fridge, as I could vvatch her through the open garage door space. She had to have sensed I vvas avvay because for the first time ever I savv her lean back on her tail and jump strait over the fence and start springing after a line of carpenter ants. It vvas the funniest thing I have ever seen! Of course I had to chase her dovvn as she brought death upon the ants she crushed *did not eat, just crushed*, and let's just say, looks like I'll have to find an nevv vvay to hold her,
*note, she is a an extremly lazy, halfly untamed lizard. she just prefers to not be held or touched, and i respect that as her personality.*
