Ollie won't eat them... :(

While feeding Ollie, about 10 crickets escaped into his cage and Ollie didn't eat them. Now it's late and I'm trying to get him to eat them again, but he's not. I guess I should try tomorrow since it is kind of late. But those 10 crickets will keep me up all night! :roll:

You should just remove them and let him try eating them again tomorrow.

Leaving them in this tank can stress him out.

I had the same "problem" as you and I could stand about 5 minutes of chirping before I drag out the vacuum and tore the tank apart until I caught every single one! My boy liked to wait for the crickets to find him instead of hunting them down and the crickets were always quick to find hiding places.

You could try feeding him in a separate container, if you don't have anything big enough with tall sides I'd think a bathtub or tall sink would work until you found something else.

Also a great little cheat (although a little time consuming) is to drop one in at a time near him. If your not squeamish you could just grab them by hand but if you are (like myself) there are great durable tongs available at just about every pet store.

Uneaten crickets left in with your dragon will bite and gnaw on the dragon causing nasty wounds that may get infected. It is necessary to remove them.
