Olive oil last night, okay this morning? Stubborn tail shed

The tip of my dragons tail was turning dark and the vet said she has a blood infection. She's been on antibiotics for nearly 3 weeks now and her tail was better, but has now become darkened again. When looking closely, I think it's actually retained stubborn tail shed. It's not lifting though. We soak her daily for 20-30 minutes and occasionally use betadine. Last night, right when the lights went out (7pm) my husband put just a little olive oil on her tail because I read that helps. Well I forgot to rub it off this morning! Her lights came on about 6:30am. Would her tail have absorbed it all and she'll be okay? I read it's bad to leave it on them when the lights are on. Her temps gets about 95 degrees. Help please Thanks!!
