Okay hers my story

Me and my buddy probly about 9-10 months ago went out and bought 2 baby beardies. when we first got them they slept on each other and seemed to be in one cage okay. So we decided to not spend the money and seperate them to diffrent cages. My buddy spent more money so we kept them at his house. Every time i would go over there i would cleen the water bowl and bring crickets over and pick out some pooh. I would visit every day or every couple days. I took him out every time and held him for a couple but it was mostly just for showing friends "Hey! did you see those lizards we bought!". Any ways a about 4 weeks ago his dragon began to eat my dragons toes and bit his tail. SO i went to his house and gave him the money for the enclosure and took my dragon home. Now that he is at my house. I have improved the cage by getting didital thermometer and humitity meter along with starting to bathe him and feed him the right foods thanks to help from people from this site. Since he has been at my house i have began to become extreamly interested with him I like holding him takign him on the porch buying things from the farmers market that he might be interested in eating.

My two questions are? Since he didnt get exactly what he needed while he was growing is it possible to get him growing any bigger than he is now? (hes currently 13 1/2 inches from nose to tail tip) (Picture attached down below). And I am also interested in if I will beable to bond with this animal. He doesnt seem to like to eat while Im around. and he seems to get comfortable but always keep an eye on me. Im wondering If i can ever get him to warm up to me? The more I learn about them the more interested I become the more I wish I would have researched this more before I needed help.

How old was he when you bought him? Dragons stop growing in length around the year to year and a half mark. He will still fatten up, but as for length, if he's between a year to 1 1/2 I doubt he'll grow any longer.

As for him warming up to you, all you need to do is take him out more and hold him/love on him. He will probably be a bit skittish, but with time that will change. If you want you can also put an old shirt (wear it once then don't wash it) in with him in his tank, that way he'll get used to your scent and associate it with good, not enemy.

Thats really good advice thanks Mistyck. I have been handeling him 2-5 times a day for the past couple weeks. He doesnt seem like he really likes to be held or sit on me but when I set up his basking light up on my desk he will sit there with me staring at me for hours. What are some other ways I can get him to warm up to me faster?

I just got my 6 m/o about 2.5 weeks ago, so bonding with her has been a big deal.
The first few days I handled her very little so she could get used to her surroundings. After that, I would give her some out of the tank time where she could run around on me or on my bed. After a few days, I discovered that she is very content riding around my chest/shoulder area. I keep a hand on her back petting her constantly so she feels more secure. Bath times are also a bonding time for us. She clings to my hand when I put her in the bath tube and I talk to her most of the time to keep her calm. After baths, I wrap her in a her towel and snuggle her. I either carry her around like a baby or lay her on my chest. Some times she stays in her towel for a while and other days she is done after a few minutes. A few nights ago I let her fall asleep curled up in my hair. Putting a piece of clothing that smells like you in her viv is a good idea.
