the crickets at the petsmart by me are 11 cents...i found them for 5 cents but i couldnt use up the box (500)but the 250 is moore $$$ per box! and the cheapest box of 250 i can find is 10 cents...not worth the trouble.
is there a site i can post on to share an order of crickets?
or is there a site that has a box of 250 cheaper than 11 cents a cricket?

i think 11 cents is what my boss pays for them too as he only has a few reptiles that are ckricket eaters...i dont think that the aligators would be happy with cricks instead of chicken :mrgreen: lol

ACRICKET1.COM...i ordered 1000 crix for 20 bucks, thats with shipping and a heat pack...so about 2 cents each. order them a bit smaller than you would normally so that they live longer.

well i was going to get the 500 box of pin-head or smalls, that would last be quite a while.
i dont know how fast they grow but my beardie is a little guy and cant eat any bigger than maybe a med.
i guess it would still be cheaper to get the 500 even if he only got 350 of them...hmmmm. :?

if it is shiped that way will they live? should i have a heatpack...it is gonna be in the 80's this week-end here????

y would you buy 250 for 14 when you could get 1000 for 7 bucks more? they are pretty quick with shipping...i live in california and i ordered it on monday and got it wednesday.

its just that he is little and he couldnt eat them if they grew bigger than a small maybe med.
it would be great if i could get that manny that cheap but i just think that they would get to big. i dont know any1 near me that i could get to split it with me. i might could get the 500. but thats pushing it.

will they live if ground shiped? do i need a heat pack as it will be 80's this weekend...

I subscribe to "Reptile" magazine. You may want to try to find a copy because there are numerous ads for cricket farms around the US. Some of the ads even offer discount codes. Also, just try "Googling" feeder crickets and see what you come up with.

I recently ordered 500 crickets from Ghann's Cricket Farm in Georgia. The crickets, 100 pheonix worms, and Ghann's formulation of calcium enriched cricket food came to $25, counting shipping and with the discount code. This was with the ground shipping rate which only applies to the Southeast.

Breyas prefers non-mobile food, so I refridgerate a bunch of crickets at one time. If you use tweezers or hand feed, it's not too difficult to get them to realize that food is easier to catch if it doesn't run away.

thanks! that is the cheapest i have seen.
i did google and found a few sites but i have a small order so it isnt gonna be as cheap per cricket.
