Hi guys, I already made a post back in early November ( https://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=211707) but I'm way too paranoid/anxious of a person and figured I would just double check. My female beardie Sasha is going on 7-8 months and is showing signs of brumation. She has since the beginning of November. Posted before it looked like all the tank requirements, lighting, heat, substrate, etc were fine. With the roll of October and the cold weather here in the east coast/NJ, she began to not get up in the morning and sit under her basking rock and instead stay sleeping in her spot she had gone to bed in. After that post I had decided to let her sleep after she had pooped and let her sleep for about 3 weeks, bathing her once a week for a good 20 mins.
Maybe dumb of me but yeah then i realized that she isn't even a year old yet so maybe this isn't the best thing since she is still growing...soo about 2, 3 weeks ago I stopped her from sleeping constantly. I put her under her light every morning, feed her after an hour and she eats a few worms and hardly touches her salad like a butt and then bath her about every 3 days, giving her a good soak. I let her go to bed pretty early, like 4-5pm just making sure has had enough time to digest her meal (2hrs). She will either curl up under her hide or an empty tissue box i have in there.
Soo yeah i guess just asking for advice whether I should let her sleep or keep her awake. she's about 17" in length and lost a bit of weight from her previous sleep. She's been eating phoenix worms while the dubia roaches i ordered come in.
I appreciate any advice!!!
Just in case:
Tank Size: 40gal breeder
Basking: 98-103'F, cool side: 75'F (ish, fluctuates but nothing above 83'F)
UVB: Reptisun T8 10.0 15w
Substrate: slate tile
EDIT: just kidding she's turning 9 months...
