OK, could really use some advise

So, my female Verdego has now just past the one year mark by a month.(brought her home at 5 months old)

She has always seemed to be a picky eater, and i have tried every live food other than roaches because there not allowed to enter my house, i've even tried all different mixes of salads. she never eats more than 3 crickets or worms at a time, than wont eat for days, and never touches her salads.

About 2 months ago i took her to the Vet and did a fecal, the vet told me she has a parasite but it wont kill her, so no meds are necessary and just keep trying to get her too eat.

Sadly nothing has changed she still wont eat, ive removed her from her 4x2x2 and put her back in glass so cleaning is more effective.

So now that you have all the background info, for the big question:

What should I do? Is it time to force feed her critical care, or baby food?


Please help me help her, she hasn't shed in over 5 months
my male who is five months younger passed her size and weight long ago, I just went them both to be as healthy as possible.

what size viv do you have her in? how warm is it on her warm side? are you useing a uvb?

was a 4x2x2 foot viv
now i have her in a 40gallon breeder, temps are 95 hot side with a 100 degree basking spot, cool side is 85, measured with a temp gun.
she has a 2 foot reptisun 10.0 uvb.

so i don't believe any of those to be causing the issue.

it seems the parasite is the problem, i don't know how shes supposed to beat the bug with no meds but the vet said she would.

where does she spend most of her time and how often does she poop?

She usually stays in the basking spot or on the hot side. She poos mostly every day sometimes skipping a day. Very small amounts, mostly urate.

it could be the parasite but i never heard of not getting anything for it. keep her tank very clean maybe try some apples or red grapes just to see if she will eat them there a treat and sweet just don't feed her to many. have you tried phoenix worms. there hi in calcium. is there any sign of her losing weight? what kind of greens have you tried? if your putting in a mix for veggies there could be something mixed she don't like and won't touch it at all. try turnip greens, collard greens,mustard greens roman lettuce is junk not enough vits. heres a nutrition chart to help you with foods for her.

also meal worms are not good for them if she is big enough feed her supper worms or phoenix worms youcan get them in a smaller size for smaller dragons. good luck let me know how she is doing
the vet you went to is wrong not giving you anything for her there is stuff could have gave you. keep viv really clean parasites come from her pooping and it not being cleaned proper. she walks in it and then it gets in her food which will cause parasites.

ive tried almost every staple on the link that you posted other than dandelion greens because i cant find them anywhere and she shows no interest.
she has lost some weight
but yesterday, being the second day in the new 40 gallon breeder she ate 3 supers and 4 crickets witch amazed me i think she likes the glass tank over her large viv oddly enuff..
hopefully she will continue eating this way

i just want her to be as healthy as my male, he eats everything i give him, just a piggy, even when it comes to his greens. hes about 20inches long at only 8 months

her being in a small viv would put her in the mood not to eat. now maybe she is in a bigger viv she will eat

Whel in the past two days she has eaten more than the past two weeks. She has been in the 40 gallon breeder.

Maby its easier for her to catch them in the smaller viv because she isn't too active. Or like they say to put a baby in a smaller tank too help them find their food

You mentioned a male. Are they or were they housed together? If that's the case, chances are good that she is or was being bullied, and separating them should solve most of the problem.
