I recently got my beardie Tanis, actually, it was about a week ago. Now I find out that when I head off to school there's gonna be no one around to take care of him, and I can't actually take him with me. I don't know what to do :S

I'm thinking of giving him away (or selling him hopefully) if I can't find any alternatives, but now I'm so sad... not to mention out a good $500...

Any ideas?

Also, anyone in Ontario, in the GTA think you could lend a hand? Thanks!

my friends kept rats, hamsters, hermitcrabs, too large fish tanks ect at their dorms at school...

lol... just a thought... king sized bed spread and a jacked up twin bed?

Some veterinarians will do reptile boarding if you call and ask. Maybe you could board him until your family comes back and is able to care for him?

My family said that they want nothing to do with him . Oh well, I'll figure something out.

I hope you do figure out a way to take him with you. I have read of some college students have their beardies in their dorm room at college. Or, you could rent an apartment off campus and keep him there. That's another option.

I'm living in a house off campus, that's not the problem, the problem is my lease specifically says "no pets" and my landlord had originally said it would be ok, until they found out that beardies eat live insects... Now it's a "no"
