How old is he? How long do you wait when checking the temps with the digital probe thermometer?

Have you thought about keeping him up an hr later to see if he will sleep an hr later?

He's about 2 and a half years old. I actually have the probe in his cage all day, its velcro'd to his basking rock, so I get readings throughout the day. And no I haven't actually, you think it will help?

IMO no, I used to put leeroy out at 9, then 1030, then sometimes 11and now back to 1030 but he's ALWAYS up at the same time. Could be different for every dragon though

It certainly can't hurt to length his day by an hr or so to see if it makes a difference.

His lights still went out at 8.30, but I kept my room light(which keeps him up and a bit angry) so he was up until 10pm... I'm writing now to tell you the same behavior is happening. He literally stands up on two back legs and constantly tries to move forward. He woke me up at 7.15 running into a corner and its 8.18 right now and he hasn't stopped. I'm really REALLY glad though that college is going to start next week, so I guess this is an incentive to prepare to get up early....UGHHHhhhhh...

This could totally be a cute video on YouTube... With the cage next to a clock... And you screaming in bed. LOL

True true...though I would have to edit out the part where he poops and it smells goshawful and I'd be cleaning it out with a disgusted look on my face... (Don't worry, he's been to the vet for it and such).

Maybe I should just put paper towels on the bottom of his cage, maybe then at least I wouldnt hear his nails scratching the tile.

I read your post yesterday and thought about how angry I would be too if my reptile did this only for him to go completely crazy around 8 pm and him jumping from his branch into the glass and he did it multiple times from that and his basking rock and running all over his cage and glass dancing. I seriously thought he lost his mind until I took him out and he was calm, just cruising on my bed. Once I put him back in from hanging out with me for an hour he was fine.

Maybe yours is just needy and wants to spend his mornings with you? ;)

Possibly! I did laugh though when a helicopter went by outside, I swear the poor thing looked like he was having a seizure! Running into the glass until he finally lied down flat with his head under his basking platform lolol!

I'm definitely sleeping in the basement until college starts, this is insanity. I have a migraine this morning thanks to his shenanigans. He also smeared poo ALL OVER the cage...

I know how you feel. Sabren is still getting used to her new surroundings - so I assume that is one of the reasons why - but she has been tossing her log and reptile carpet around as well as clawing, dancing and headbumping into the glass as if she is going crazy. I go to take her out and sometimes she just acts really skittish about it, like she doesn't want to get out at all, and then when I set her down she sits in the same spot for /hours/.

So weird.

Awww.. I'm sorry he hasn't stopped. Have you tried covering his cage with a thick blanket in combination with changing the time and lowering the temperature?

Post pictures of him and his tank. :D

Perhaps he sees his reflection and it's freaking him out or making him try to dominate the "other lizard." I am a newbie so take everything I say with a very large salt crystal. My tortoise used to fight with his reflection

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
