oh my, never even saw the disclaimer about the 100 watt powersun MVB! well i had it on my temp viv until another one is made for my trio , well they were all hiding, lethargic, wouldnt eat. at first i attributed it to the new surroundings. nope! i went out and got some industrail strength stick velcrow and installed a better basking bulb ( the extra 100 watt i had as the temps werent perfect) and then as soon as i put that 24" reptisun 10.0 in and turned it on, male came flaring out of hiding and bobbing his head to mate! black beard and all! and he ate immediately as well. An instant change??? I cant believe how much i spent on a bulb that could have seriously harmed my bearded dragons! i have 3 more on order from pet mountain (reptisun) and i cant express how happy i am at this very moment and how relieved I am! i was soooo worried i was going to lose my male, and he is gorgeous fired up! I am glad i researched through the MVB issues last night and ran to the darn pet store and dished out 50.00 bux for the bulb, 20 for an under cabinet fixture that i took the face off so its just bulb and they get full uv lighting, and 15.00 on heavy industrial velcro sticky tape to mount it. i am so mad at that company right now! but so happy for the health and safety of my dragons :blob8: :blob5:

I'm glad to hear the reptisun is so effective for you!

When I wasn't on this site yet, and when I first got Duke, the petstore tricked me into buying the ESU desert bulb. After coming here, I accidentally bought the reptiglo 10 instead of the reptisun. My bad. Anyway, after finally getting the reptisun, Duke was more active than ever. Reptisun 10 is my hero and it's the best bulb ever! It was even more effective than my Reptiglo 8!

thanks yeah at first on my first tank i did get the repti-glo but quickly changed it the next day per advice. then on this quarantine tank i got the MVB instead of the repti-sun cuz i thought it would be easier to mount for the time being. bad mistake but what a complete turn around! he is 100% better now and all over the place. my dogs upstairs can see down to that room through wooden bars and see him eating and moving around now happily and barking at him a bit. LOL he did a complet turn around. i feel so relieved and bought 3 more reptisun 10.0 from pet mountain as i am asuming that they only last 6 months liek the suppliments do...so yeah reptisun 10.0 is my hero and i just can not trust any MVB anymore..no matter the brand. been there once and dont want to again. Kristy :D

Reptisuns are great bulbs, but I have to say, MVBs do the job pretty well too. I have a T-Rex MVB set up for my RES turtle. He is basking more than ever now! Gotta love the MVB!

So the reptisun is better then the reptiglo???

p.s. i am still doing my rescearch and am trying to figure this stuff out

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
