:roll: So today after giving Penelope a bath, I was holding her in my hand in such a :wink: "Hot Dog" hold, when i finally saw (No pun intended) an opportunity to lift her tale to confirm her sex or at least give it a try. I had been studying the pick on here and on the breeder site so I had a much better idea then at previous times.
I lifted her tail and saw :shock: two oval thingy's south of her vent in the thick of her tail. I gasped and put the tail down but then I slowly lifted it back up and held her steady with my thumb and there they were again! Could this be? (I know a newbie comment coming) I chose her thinking she was a she and named her a she name and when I saw her wave I thought it was a lock :idea: . But then I read that the wave thing is not gender specific and second guessed myself.
My gosh, Penelope is a Leviathan 8) ...I should stop saying she now huh. I don't have pictures but I will next time my daughter is home to take them. My...Penelope/Levi has been growing really quickly in the past several weeks, he's about to shed again.
I feel happy either way but what a shock!
