Hey guys, this website is amazing and I've got so many tips from here so I thought why not join the community? Here's my Odin, I've had him for almost 3 weeks; cannot believe how much he has grown! So happy I decided to buy a beardie, I'm attached already and he's such a little character; at the moment I'm trying to teach him to eat vegetables but he's a right stroppy guts, any tips would be appreciated (I know their main diet as youngsters are insects but I want him to learn to eat his greens too!)

Here's a picture of him,

I look forward to reading through the forums on the regular and hopefully chatting with some of you!

Welcome! He's a cute little guy. He looks nice and healthy - off to a good start! I would just keep a fresh salad in his tank every day so he gets used to it as an available food source. Even if he doesn't dig in, it's OK. You can offer the extra salad to the bugs.

He's very cute! Yes, I did have the same problem with my dragon regarding the veggies. I do sometimes coax him with a bit of fruit ontop of the vegetables, crickets or bright colored dragon nibblets. Although this idea may sound a bit strange, sometimes you can drag around the vegetables on the ground and since it is 'moving' he will probably go for it, then when he sees it in his cage he will remember the color and shape of the vegetable and associate it with food. My beardie will often eat crickets regardless if they are moving because he has picked up on the shape and color, however this may not work for everyone.

Hope this helped :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
