Odahviing and Faranth

They haven't eaten fruit yet, and I even tried farmer's market strawberries. They were so sweet and strong-smelling, it was as if I could taste them just smelling them. They got a big NO. :silent: I need to try blueberries and I am waiting until the farms here open for U-pick. I usually fill a cooler by the end of the day, and it will give me a chance to pick them as ripe as I want for them. I hope they like them!!!

I just wondered. I'd tried strawberries, raspberries and blueberries but no love so far. I was using them to try and tempt her to salad. Frankly, I'm over-the-moon that she has started eating her veg on her own. She won't all the time, still likes to be hand fed still. She's rotten, but we do love her so very much.

i love going to u pick patches! they are usually cheaper and you can pick the best ones!

I wish we had some closer! I planted one in my yard for strawberries, eight plants. This will be the first year of yield. We planted last year, so I let the groundhogs have the flowers and young fruit. We were supposed to cut it off anyway, to let it root. Then we have raspberries, black and red, that I planted three years ago. They produce a little but are revving up.

My two like butternut squash in their food. They tend not to eat it as well as when I shread it into smaller pieces. The same goes for cantaloupe. Mine also will go for some thinly sliced bananas. They eat all around anything else, which is sad because I LOVE fruit and I would love sharing with them before it goes bad... Oh well. Lol

So yesterday Odahviing had to save mommy. I was laying on the floor, petting Pooka (one of the cats), and Wayne put Odahviing on my chest. She cuddled in, and he leaned down to give me a wet, noisy, joking kiss on the lips. Well, she straightened up and gave him the stink eye!! Her head was raised and tilted, and she was doing that bearded dragon "I'm watching you Mister!" We laughed, and he leaned down to give me a wet kiss on the neck. Odahviing crazy bearded at him. We lost it. He did it again, and she was standing tall on all four legs, bearded and stiff and staring at him.

"You better not eat mommy!! I know how this works!" We decided to spare her lizard sanity and give her a break. He walked away, and I petted her and tried to calm her down. She wouldn't move or relax, just kept following his movements with her head and glaring after him. Finally I sat up slowly and picked her up to cuddle her into my hands against my chest. She soothed and relaxed. All was fine. Daddy was allowed to pet and kiss her again. I gave her cuddles and more kisses and told her what a brave girl she was. She's not even a foot long yet. Still not 100 grams.... Guard beardie. She will always save mommy.

Lately, I've also found that Odahviing likes to play. .... Like a cat.

I'm working on a project where I'm wrapping wooden beads as button molds. I had one dangling, and Odahviing went after it. She was freshly fed, so she wasn't hungry. She's also played tug of war with me a half hour earlier with my phone charging cord.


I decided that the bead was large enough she couldn't swallow it, so what the heck.

She has crested 100 grams and a foot!!! I am a proud momma!!

The other day I had Neko on my lap, and Odahviing was watching her tail twitch. Her head went twitchtwitchtwitch with the tail. I debated moving her, worried she'd get Neko's tail, but she removed the choice and went for it before I could..

Odahviing bit the end and worried it. I pulled her off, and Neko bolted. I defurred her mouth and laughed hysterically. Then she ran down my leg and bit my jeans.....

Moved into our new viv! It's 2 deep by 4 long and 18" tall!

Beautiful new cage!! She looks very happy, I love how her tail is curled up while she's exploring!! Too cute..

Thanks! While she's little all the stuff in there is perfect. I can move it out if it gets too cramped as she grows more.

I love her tail curl too. <3 It's amazingly adorable. When she runs around my workroom she lifts it totally off the ground like that. It's so cute. The base comes up, and it stays curled up. Sometimes I swear the tip is going to go to her head.

That viv is AMAZING...! It is very classy looking, too. She is getting a belly - in one of the pics it is obvious that she is eating well! Ginger gained 100 grams in 5 weeks between March and April and she doesn't look like she is stopping, either. We may need a bigger viv, too. HAHA

I got another hammock to put over the millet corner. She loves to cuddle into it at night sometimes. She would get into the corner under the wood and crink herself into a weird shape, curling up like a cat. Silly lizard thing! So I put up the hammock with vines on it like the other corner as well. She shelters under it and likes to climb as well.

I've got to take new photos.. You think THAT belly is big.. My lord... She's been easing off her other feeders, so we reintroduced crickets to give her something wiggly. Good GOD! She's gone MENTAL. And fat. SO fat! I'm not worried because she's young. She's got this amazing tummy. When I take her out, off her basking spot, and cup her in my hand.. Her tummy settles perfectly into my palm and chin onto my finger tips. He tum is so warm and round. It's amazing. <3 So soft!
