I'll just go ahead and get the setup info out of the way to help out - Wave's in a 40 gallon, which she moved into last week. Shelf liner substrate. Temps currently 107 on her basking branch, 99 on her hammock, about 97 around the warm side of the cage, 79 on the cool side (just checked with a temp gun). Reptisun 10.0 UVB 24", 60 watt bulb for the heat. The UVB is inside the viv (she can get to about 7" from it, unless she decides to try to climb the glass), the basking light is not. She eats medium reptiworms and small dubia for her primary diet, with micro superworms for treats. Her salad is usually collard/mustard/dandelion greens with butternut squash, bell peppers, blueberries, strawberries, and carrots added 2-3 times/week for a little variety. Bell peppers are her favorite. She eats a few bites of her greens in the morning, particularly if those peppers are involved, and then, like most little ones, ignores it for the rest of the day. Feeders are given usually mid-morning (sometime between 9 and 10AM) and late afternoon (around 4:30PM). She eats very eagerly, and has not turned down a meal since the day I got her.
So here's the situation - she does 1-2 poos/day, usually in the bath (she'll sometimes do a second one in the bath if she's already done one in the viv, but usually it's just one/day), sometimes on the cool side of the viv if I don't get her bathed quickly enough. She's been getting baths more frequently the last few days because she's shedding. The poos look normal - well-formed but not totally solid, normal-looking urate and feces. She has no trouble doing these; I've watched her both in the bath and in her viv - she's not struggling. They don't stink terribly - no perfume, certainly, but I don't notice a smell until I realize she's done it and open the viv. Smell is not penetrating the room, and doesn't stink up the house. Three times since I moved her into the new viv, there have been a few - 2-3 that I could see - undigested reptiworms in the fecal matter. The first time, I assumed it was because I didn't have warm enough temps; the bulb I had been using wasn't strong enough, and she wasn't quite warm enough for the first few hours after she moved (temps were running in the low-mid 90s, even at the basking spot). That was rectified the afternoon of that first day, and the undigested worms appeared the next morning, so I assumed that was that.
A couple of days later, we had the same situation. Then today, the same again. So it's not every day, and it's not large amounts of food. I haven't noticed any of the other feeders showing up, but she obviously has to chew the roaches quite a bit more, and she doesn't get many of the micro supers. And she usually eats 30+ reptiworms at a feeding, but I'm only noticing, as I said, 2-3 in the poo.
It's possible I'm not giving her long enough to digest before bathing - all of the undigested ones have shown up in the bath, not in her viv. She usually has a bath between 11:30AM and 12:30PM, depending on when she ate - I try to give her at least 1.5 hours after eating to bask and digest. Should I give her more time? Can anyone see anything obvious that I'm doing wrong, otherwise? Could this be some kind of weird relocation stress, since she's moved?
Thanks, guys! Let me know if you need any more info.
