Obsessive digging, doesn't seem pregnant...

Hi all, I am really stumped, I have a male and female that are about 1 year and 1/2 old. The male has been chasing her around for months and I have seen them mate. For the past 5 days she has been digging obsessively and has really slowed down her food intake. I assumed she was pregnant and put her in her own 40 gallon tank with a tupperware dish filled with potting soil and sand. She is still digging everywhere but has not settled in the dish. It is probably too small, it is about 12 by 8 and 5 inches deep. I know i should probably place her in a separate lay box, just a tupperware box 2 feet by 2 feet, but here is the catch, she doesn't look pregnant. I can't see or feel any visible eggs lumps and her underside is flat. I also tried offering several hides for her because I thought she might be preparing to brumate, she did last winter for almost 3 months, but she doesn't seem interested in any of them. Not sure what to do, please offer any suggestions. Thanks,

Evan

Sometimes you can't feel the eggs, I'd stick with the lay box. She'll drop them when she's good and ready. Sometimes I feel they just dig in preparation to lay. Make sure the soil is moist, and I've found my females like privacy.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
