I'm just being a paranoid mommy again; I don't actually think that Budo is obese. However, if he becomes obese (when I'm feeding, I always try to feed too much rather than too little), I would like to recognize it so I can cut back on the food. Budo is my first, so I don't know what an obese or skinny beardie would look like. I don't have a working scale so I can't weigh him.
Budo is either a mature juvie or a young adult. I haven't measured him. I feed him about 15 crickets, 10 small meal worms, and as much salad as he will eat every day. I also let him out of his cage every day (he's not used to handling yet, so our interactive time is run-around time), which I imagine burns some major calories.
What are your opinions on obesity? Do you have any pics of obese dragons? Do you think Budo's weight is ok for his length? (see pic below)
(These are pics of the first day I had him, Monday. He hasn't gained/lost any weight since then, as its only been a few days)
