not sure whats wrong... (poop question)

hey, my dragon marbles is almost ten months now, and in the past few days ive noticed really runny poo, sometimes very watery other times its just a bit runny.. shes otherwise healthy and active (i think) although shes been dancing on the glass more... im not sure what this all means

because i know i will be asked:

36x18x18 opens from front and top (i almost always open from the front though)
150w basking lamp (exo terra)
exo terra 10.0 tube (inside tank to avoid uvb filtration)
100w ceramic heater for nighttime
temps are normally good, around 99-103 for the basking spot, 83-85 for the cool side.
measuring temps with digital probes that sit for at least an hour in each spot before i read them. also thinking of borrowing my dads temp gun soon...

in terms of diet she eats a lot of veg, butternut squash, dandelion, kale, mustard greens, and the occasional carrot or red pepper sliver. she also likes to eat those commercial "bearded dragon" kibbles you find at petsmart, i offer a small amount of those to her everyday (i'd say no more than a tablespoon of them per day, sometimes i sprinkle them on top of her salads)
for bugs she gets crix, supers and hornworms. dusted 2-3 times a week with d3 calcium... and reptivite about once a week on the greens...


am i doing anything wrong? i would be so upset if i found out im the one that caused her to be ill, i will be taking her to the vet as soon as i can find someone to drive me... i dont want to take her on the bus!
if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate it !

oh!! and for substrate, ive tried everything and hated the results of them all, for the past few weeks ive been using tile, right now though ive switched to paper towel for easier clean up of her runny poops..

Are the poops normal size or very tiny?

I only ask because my girl had very tiny runny poops and glass danced, found out she was going to lay eggs.

they are small!!! in the last day or so there have been a few missing urates as well.

yes, i can tell when she poops now because it will smell up my whole living room. never used to do that before!
thats the basis of most of my worrying... the smell is just awful!

Smelly pooh is often an indication of parasites.

Do you have a good reptile vet in your area?

I would call around and find a good vet that has experience with reptiles. I'd then collect a fecal sample and put it in a ziplock baggie or some other container. I like the ziplock baggie idea because it's disposable and easy. Take it to the vet as soon as you collect it (if possible). If it is not possible, you can refrigerate it for a short period of time, but it is best if you take it in right away.

I also highly recommend either a steam cleaner if you have one, or ordering the professional cleaner from beardeddragon.co right away. I used the steam cleaner, and then switched to the cleaner spray. A little goes a long way with this concentrate and it is highly effective. I prefer the Professional Cleaner after using the two methods.

wow thank you so much! i will check that out for sure, right now i have some tank scrub i got from petsmart but im sure its not nearly as strong as that stuff!

i increased my credit limit so that i could afford to take him to the vet, the only thing that sucks is they didnt have anything available for me until tuesday!!!!

i dont know what i can do to make her feel more comfortable until then..

Hi, I'm sorry your baby isn't feeling well. You should ask your vet if you can just bring in a fecal sample for now, so you can find out if your baby has parasites. That wouldn't require an appointment, you would just drop it off and they could call you with the results later today.
Just an idea.
I hope she feels better.

just bought the cleaner as well as 35 $ worth of other stuff !!!!

carnivore care, critical care, probiotics,aphidophilus+ (however you spell that word haha...) syringes, etc etc...


she hasnt gotten to that point yet.... but if she does and im not prepared with this stuff, i will be so upset (and so broke if i got them from the vet....) amazing prices on that site!!!! thanks for showing it to me !!

I'd call and see if they can test pooh before then if you bring sample in. That way this is done and out of way before vet visit. That way vet only needs to prescribe meds. If coccidia ask them about Toltrazuril as a medication if they choose to prescribe Albon. Toltrazuril is less harsh on their systems and tends to do a better job wiping out coccidia. If they don't know about it, ask them to look it up.

I'd see if they'll do that, just tell them you are very worried and want to get the fecals run before the visit so you have a better idea during your visit. Just an idea.

i called and they said they only run tests on weekdays ( ....um... okay???) so i'd have to bring it monday which is the day before because apparently they have no time today...

bah! so frustrating.
