Hi guys, I'm really worried about draco. For the last month I've found it really hard to get him to eat anything and probably hasn't eaten at all for the last week. Today he has been black bearding all morning and I have just put him in the bath and he puffed up, had his mouth wide open and tilted his head back. He hasnt done any of that before and is behaving really strangely, any ideas what it could be? I'm worried because he looks like he's losing weight ''/

What is the brand name and number of your bulb? Wattage (if MVB)? i think its a reptiglo, ive always used arcadia but recently changed because they dont stock the lamp in any of my local shops
How old is your UVB bulb? 2 weeks
How close can your dragon get to the UVB? it runs along the back wall so at most its the depth of the viv so a foot and a bit i think
Do you use a separate basking bulb? What kind and what is the wattage? Is it a white or colored bulb? yep seperate household bulb for heating
What are the basking temps? average about 31c
What is the cool side temp? around 27/28c
Do you take the temps with a stick on thermometer, a digital thermometer with a wire and a probe end or a temp gun? digital thermometer with a probe end
Where exactly are you taking your basking temps? hot end of the viv
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad? no
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific. before i was feeding him hoppers but ive also tried worms, no luck with those. he used to love veg but wont even go for that either
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)? ive been trying every morning and night and he just wont go for it, ive tried after his bath and even then he wont.

Do you bath your dragon? How often? couple of times a week
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath? he has a bowl in the viv which he drinks from
Have you gotten a vet check and fecal done? we dont have a reptile vet in my area and i dont trust the local vets tbh
Does your dragon share an enclosure with another dragon? no

So your basking temp is 31C? That seems to be around 88F, which is not hot enough for proper digestion. Try to boost temps to around 95-100F (35C). You should be dusting feeders/salad twice a week with a calcium/D3 powder and a multivitamin once a week. Those might be things you can do now.

Do you have a way to measure humidity. When the dragon breathes, do you hear a clicking noise or do you notice excess mucus in the mouth? What has he been like around this time in previous years? It might be a hormonal thing, but I'm not sure. Hoping someone more experienced can help. What kind of worms did you feed him? Also, were the hoppers wild caught or captive bred? Can you specify what veggies you use?
