Hey everyone,
I just want to remind everyone that Craigs List isn't the only place to check for beardie ads. Kijiji is another great buy and sell website and many countries have it. Unfortunately, like CG ther are plenty of ignorant people out there who are selling or giving away sick, neglected and/or abused beardies, and every other pet imaginable
I have been checking the ads for the Barrie, Ontario area, and, this past week, I started looking at all of Ontario. I replied to one a while ago, and informed the young girl that she's been miss informed and was giving potential buyers bad advice, and gave her links to this site and another of my favourite care sheets. I never heard back from her, but she removed her ad, and a week or so later she reposted her BD, without the bad advice
There have been several ads I've seen of beardies in need of rescue, and as bad as this may sound, some that look like euthanasia would be far more humane.
I'm sure there are plenty of local sites, yahoo group types etc., that those of us who like to keep an eye out for beardies in need can join or access.
I know we can't help or save them all, but a few minutes of our time to send some good advice, or maybe more time to involve a humane society, and we can make a difference, however small.
Have an awesome weekend everyone!!!
