ok so here is some background on why my beardie isn't eating anymore.

before he went into brumation about 5 months ago, he was eating regularly. crickets, supers, and plenty of greens.

since he woke up from his brumation cycle he has been doing a lot of head bobbing (but thats normal because they mate after brumation right?). now that he is out of his brumation it has been about a month. he won't eat supers or crickets anymore although he did eat 5 supers the other day. he still does eat his greens though. i watched him do it. i've given him baths to re-hydrate him but still nothing.

so my question is, is there anything i can do to get him to eat regularly again or does it just take time? is there any type of jump start supplement that will get him to eat? should i take him to the vet and get him checked out?

any info will help out greatly. thank you

no he is fully active now. running around the cage, head bobbing, running around my room when i take him out, basking, just not eating as much as he use to before he went into his brumation. this is the first time i've ever dealt with brumation so its a little difficult haha.

And husbandry is all A-OK?

Have you tried different feeders? He possibly could be bored (but I wouldn't invest in buying new feeders just yet)
Are there any other dragons in the room he is in?

may sound like a newb question but what do you mean by husbandry?

haven't tried different feeders. right now feeding him supers and crickets and no there are no other dragons in the mirror its just when he's see's himself in the mirror or the reflection of himself in the cage.

Husbandry basically means your setup: lights, tank size, humidity, temps, etc. etc.

I am actually having almost the exact same issue you've described and came on to the forums to see if I could find anything. Am curious to see what other responses you get.

I am having the same problems as well. One of my beardies is about a year and a half and usually a really great consistent eater. She gets a variety of greens (collards, mustard greens, carrot tops, green beans, squash) and supers which she LOVES. All winter she was quite slow, mostly sitting and basking all day, not moving to sleep, waking up and not moving just eating and basking. The past few weeks though she has "woken up" and will not stop moving!! She also seems to be too interested in moving around to eat any food. It does not look like she is loosing any weight, although when shes running around she has a way of sucking it in which makes her look skinny and worries me :?
But when she is basking she has the saggiest fat tummy she always has.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
