carter has not eaten barely anything in the last FIVE days, i am offering him greens, roaches, and worms. he has eaten a few small pieces of mustard greens and one wax worm per day. he usually eats a salad and a bunch of roaches everyday. now he has just been hiding all day barely ever coming out. i have a 4x2x2 viv with a reptisun 10.0, 108* basking, 79* cool side (which is where he has been hiding under his log) he is about 5 months and 12" long. we did just get a dog last weekend, could that have anything to do with it? any other suggestions? starting to get really worried

But saying that Mine is a about 6 mounths old and did more or less the same .
hardly ate anything for a couple of days, was in her hide alot. i evan took her to the vets because i thought she was 2 young. she was fine.
and then just snapped outa it the next day and was perfectly fine??? soooo i dunno lol.
i would say leave it for a couple more days keep us updated and if it doesnt improve take your beardie to the vets see if they can figure it out.

still not eating... it has been at least a week now and in this time all together he has maybe eaten one usual sized "salad" 8 wax worms, and 2 small/medium dubia. he has been getting bathed every other day and is pooping at least every other day as well somehow, anyone else have any input? he seems completely healthly, still hides alot but he was out of the hide for about 6 hours or so today

I am new to the site, and this is my first post/reply, but I wanted to let you know, I have the same issue.

My son got a new beardie for Xmas ( about 5 inches long, young, but not a baby) ( therefore I did too!) and he ate good for a few days, then stopped eating crickets altogether.

We figured it was too much handling during acclimation...No problem left him alone.

Then gave him a bath, thinking he was dehydrated, and he drank and shed, another non eating cause. No problem figured problem was going to be solved.

Still no crickets, some mealworms, and waxworms, hates phoenixworms.

For some reason, I am stressing about him, sine he just chills under his hide, comes out to sun occasionally, but not active like everyone says they should be.
Temps are good ( 75-80 in cool, 95-100 on hide, on floor ( with under heating pad) under light about 109), so Im good with that.

He seems healthy, but just mellow. Not skinny, not unhealthy, but don't want to make a mistake.

Ill let you know if I have any luck, but I thought he was too young to officially brumate, so maybe he is just "sort of" brumating...not sure.

This dragon gets more care than my kids, with his chopped salads, trips to stores for all sorts of special worms, etc. Not complaining, just laughing at myself.

Good luck and let me know if you have any luck.

i too am having this prob. i picked him up on sunday pm,he is around 2 months old. he ate well for the 1st 24hrs, maybe 15 crickets etc, then seems to of stopped.ive had 3 crickets in there all day today, and he just watches them pass him by. he appeers to be active, alert, poo'd ok,basking ok for long periods at around 105-110f. he wont eat his salads/greens either and i havent seen him drink, tho i do put drops on his nose to encourage him.
i just put it down to him getting used to his enviroment.i am constantly worried, but i guess he knows what he is up too. i will see what happens until the weekend, if nothing improves, i will be back on here getting more advise..
i do have one question tho.between what temp should the viv be at night, and how do you achieve this. i have read they sleep better in darkness, but the temp drops to below 62f with the basking light off.i have a heat mat one end under the glass viv.i have a dimmer thermostate on the basking light which i set to 70 an night(ambient temp), but it means the basking bulb is on dim most of the night. i hear heat rocks are a no no. i touched him this morning whilst he was sleeping. he was so cold to touch. is that normal?
i am a total newbee, panicking over everything.thanks for any advise.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
