Not eating or sleeping

My boyfriends bearded dragon, Luck Rex, is acting like he is going into brumation, he hasnt been eating for a couple months. But usually by now he is already sleeping. He is showing no signs that he is about to either. My boyfriend was able to get him to eat a few bites of vegetables the other day, but hes refusing crickets. He is about 11 or 12 (we werent sure how old he was when my boyfriend first got him, but he got him for his 7th birthday, and now he's a couple months shy of turning 18). Is this normal for his age? He hasn't been eating, not as active as he used to be, and doesnt react when i say hi anymore. I'm afraid we are starting to lose him

Their personality definitely changes a lot as they get older but if he’s not eating and his activity has dropped significantly I would definitely take him to the vet. If you have an experienced reptile veterinarian around that’d be best. They can give him a check up/run blood work to see if he’s sick or if it’s because he’s getting older. Good luck with him! Is he losing weight? That is a fairly old age for a dragon so he must be very well cared for. I agree that it might be worth having a vet checkup done. Perhaps offering some baby food veges would get his interest a bit. I've had good luck with green beans, squash, and sweet potato. Just drip some on his nose and see if he will lick it up. I'd try the same with some water. That will at least keep him hydrated and give him a bit of nutrients for now.
