Bought 2 bearded dragons about a month ago from petsmart. They both were doing fine for about 3 weeks then one of them stopped eating. I noticed he was starting to shed and had read online that sometimes they don't eat much during that time. Well its been a week since then and hw still will only eat a tiny bit each day.
Info:
About 3 ish months old from the age pets mart told me (could be off not sure) I have small meal worms, crickets, and dubia roaches and will only eat one maybe two per feeding. Have been to the vet and she said he seems completely fine other than not eating much. Good color and alert and active. Goes to the bathroom at a normal rate. Although I've notice they've been smaller lately (assuming due to the lack of food) any thoughts or suggestions I would love.

Hi. Are they housed together? What lights are you using? What are the temps and how do you take them? Can you post a picture?

They were housed together for 3 weeks. Everything was fine. I recently had to move my crickets into something else so I could house reptar (the one not eating) in his own cage. Been housed alone for about 4 days now. Heat is exxoterra 75 watt and heat is repti sun (both bought from petsmart) Temps on hot side are 95 to 100 and cold side around 80 ish (I need to actually measure the temp on colder side) and I have a digital therm that's on the side of the cage. Currently at work so I can post pictures when I get home in about 4 hours)

Glad you separated them. Is the uvb a coil/compact or tube? Does your thermometer have a wire probe? Can they see each other?

It's a tube. And the therm just a small suction one you stick to the side of the tank. And no they can't see each other. My other one actually keeps thinking I'm getting crickets when I do anything with reptar cage and runs into the glass to see what I'm doing lol

Thanks for answering. You need a better thermometer. Those stick on ones are very inaccurate. So he actually could be too hot. A temp gun or a digital with a wire probe are the most accurate. Since you need to know the temp on the basking spot.

Ok. Well could there be any other factors that I can look into as well why he wouldnt be eating? I mean he eats a few here and there but has been stuck around 25 grams for 2 or 3 weeks. Also any tips on brand wise? Something I can find on amazon or something? Not That I don't wanna do research would just save me time

Hello,

One dragon is eating & the other one isn't, correct?
Here are a few sites for thermometers:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Acu-Rite-Indoor-Outdoor-Thermometer-00891/896347

http://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-thermometers-hygrometers/11442-511260/zoo-med-zoo-med-digital-thermometer-for-terrariums.html

You mainly want to stay away from stick on types or dial types both of those are pretty inaccurate.
Sometimes it takes some of the youngsters a little longer to adjust than others. Is he basking?

It's upside down. Woops but yes he is basking. No problem there. He does everything the other does. Except he only eats like 2 to 3 insects a day

Update: weighed reptar this week (weigh them every monday) and he is still 24 grams. So luckily he has stopped losing weight. But still not eating much. Haven't gotten a new thermometer yet but at least he's eating enough to no lose weight.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
