So lately my 3 y/o male bearded dragon has been hiding all day long and not eating his greens most of the time, but still eating his worms and crickets when i get those out. He hasn't pooped in a while either (and it's been a few weeks since his last bath, that's on me, i lost his bath container and need to find a new one since he's too big for the sink and we have no bathtub)
Today i came home from school to find him on his basking side (on the ground) and very puffed up, his beard jet black and flared out, and he's still in the same spot exactly like that now, a couple hours later (although his body isn't puffed up anymore, but his beard still is, and same jet black color)
Should i take him to a vet? What's going on? He's been lethargic like that since about mid-late July of this year btw.

He has an (i believe) 75 gallon tank, with zoo med reptile carpet, 2 75 watt heat bulbs (so 150 total) and a uv bulb. Currently his basking side has a temp (judging by the petco glass thermometers which i know isn't accurate but it's all we currently have) of about 95 F, and the cool side at about 83 F.

A lot of dragons are going into brumation now which have some of the same symptoms.

However, that is one black beard which means an unhappy dragon. Is he getting ready to shed? Or is he usually that whiteish. Is he interested in being handled or favouring any parts of his body?

He shouldn't be getting ready to shed i assume, as he just did about a month ago, but no he isn't usually /quite/ that shade, usually just slightly darker, and actually about an hour after those pictures were taken i noticed he actually appeared slightly darker than his usual shade (but only slightly). I haven't tried handling him as he is now back in his hide sleeping again (with a black, but not quite THAT black, beard still)

Hi Jay....is he still the same ? How long since he poo'd ? Something is really bothering him, he may be impacted. Take him out for a lukewarm 10 minute bath to see if he'll poo. Make it a little deeper than usual [ stay with him though ] That may get him to go....if not, give him some unsweetened applesauce, baby food squash or canned pumpkin and add about 1/4 tspoon of olive oil. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
