Had James since last Saturday and he has only eaten 3 meal worms on his own choice. Hes not interested in the chase of the nymphs, crickets or meal worms. He just looks.
Now when I make him eat he chews em up like they're going out of fashion, no spitting them out or anything.
Should I take the tough love route and let him starve till he eats or just continue to put em in ? I am dusting with calcium and vitamins.
He has no interest in any veggies at all.

I'm force feeding my new beardie too. I think it's good way to build strong bond between me and him but I hope he starts to chase after his feeders.

I know he is healthier than Thomas was because his bite is about 5 times stronger than Thomas was (RIP) when I had to force feed him. I think he is coming more into himself because he loves sitting on his perch basking more than he did a few days ago and he is less skittish when being held.

I've had my beardie for about a week now and he's just now taken an interest in crickets as well as vegetables. I was just curious though, how do you go about force feeding them? lol Surely I tried this when I was convinced Malice was starving but I was wondering how you physically make them eat.

I just pulled down on his bottom jaw. When the food hit his tongue he ate it. When he spit it back out I took it as he was full.

Yeah you can force feed them pretty much everything from thin sliced veggie to small feeders that fit into their mouth.
I've seen people lost their beardie because starvation but it'll never happen if you force feed them.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
