So lilly has been eating really good since i got her. she would eat anywhere between 20-50 crickets a day. But for the past few days im lucky if she will even eat one. i dont know whats going on with her. but her basking spot is 100-108 cool side 75 i use reptisun 10.0 for uvb. I went to give her bath today and she put her head under water nose first and pancaked and went limp took her out right away. she was limp and pancaked for a couple secs and then went back to normal i dont know what that was about but she def scared me. can somebody elp me to figure out why she is acting this way?

i'm just scared to give her baths anymore if she's going to do that. i don't want her to drown she sticks her head in nose first as sooon as she goes in the water. and its not that deep. then she pancakes and gets limp.

I am sorry she scared you like that. I know some members beardies will go under head first and swim, but I am not sure what is going on with what you witnessed. Sorry I cant be more help.

That would have scared me too! Has she been pooping regularly? What type of substrate do you have? How about the rest of her activity, has it been normal? My little guy tends to relax and pancake in the bath too, but it's because he's just chillin' and likes to float. It sounds like there may be more to your girl's actions.

Yeah it's not like she's relaxing or just drinking. But I have paper towels down for substrate andshe has been pooping atleast once a day usually 2 or 3

Any shedding been going on? Has she been eating of her salad or have you tried worms yet? Sometimes they can suddenly get tired of their diets too. I know I have also seen folks on here recommend chicken, turkey and squash stage one babyfood (but only as a last resort). You put it on their noses to coax them to lick it off.

Also wanted to bump this so other folks could make some recommendations.

When mine stopped eating crix, I bought some supers and he gobbled them up. Still won't touch a cricket after 6 months of eating them fine. Try another protein source, like supers or if he's too small for those order some hornworms or phoenix worms.

I tried everything. She's too small for supers. She wont eat anything. Should I feed her babyfood?? If so what kind/ how much?

Yeah she is shedding her beard area a little bit. She's only 6 inches could she eat small tomato worms?

Shedding can sometimes make beardies cranky and even stop eating so that could be part of the issue. Tomato worms are the same thing as hook worms, right? I don't have any experience with those worms myself, but I have read on the forum here that they would also make a good staple in the beardies' diet. You might want to give them a try. My Puffers has recently started on Reptiworms which he inhales like crazy. I call them beardie crack because he sooooooooo loves them. Check those out too! :D

Ok I'll try those out. Tomato worms are horn worms. She won't. Even look at the reptiworms lol. I'll try the hornworms out with her.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
