hi, i hope you all can give me some idea of what is going on with my beardie that i took in about 4 months ago. he was a big blob of bloated puffy constipated dragon, it was awful. he has been doing great with us, but now he is charging his enclosure walls and didn't eat last night. his beard is black and he seems very angry. we got a cat a few months ago, but he has not seemed too concerned with her, the cat discovered him last week, maybe that is part of the problem? mostly she just sits and stares at him, but she go on top of his enclosure last night. oh, he is also passing lots of those calcium egg looking things
thanks for any help,
natasha

calcium egg looking things?

Are you sure he is infact a she and laying eggs? If so you will need to make a lay box. You will need to fill a tub with sand and wet it.

Yes, eggs are eggs. Urates generally accompany stool. I believe your talking about urates. White or off white urates are good, yellow, orange, red or brown urates are bad.

Your dragon is probably stressed from the cat. He may also be also be looking for a mate, which is a stressful too. Cover a few sides of the glass, put some duct tape on top of the cage for the cat, and try to confine your movements to a slower and more fluid rhythm just to make him more comfortable with your presence.

Male dragons can go without eating when wanting to mate.

wow, thanks for the responses, i am pretty sure they are not eggs, they are different sizes. i put a screen around the cage, and a gate so the cat cant get to it. he seems better, but i do not think he is eating, there are crickets hopping around in there. how long can he go like this safely? he is around 2 years old, what is the age they get lovesick?
thanks again

can you upload some pictures of the "calcium egg looking things?" I'm curious to see what you mean by that. Are you talking about the urates? They accompany the poop. Like someone else said, they should be in the whitish color range.

Please do update pics! :D

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
