Not eating and poop was mushy

Bossk poop today’s was mushy and he hasn’t been eating much since his head is about to shed, yesterday he didn’t really ate anything and today he ate some superworms and crickets than his pooped all mushy and nasty, he seems okay alert and walking around nothing out of the ordinary should I be concern ?

How old is he? Are you feeding salads/ greens?what are his basking temps and how are you taking them? What kind of UVB are you using? Coil or tube? Shedding can cause them to eat less but we need to see if basking temps and UVB is not causing issues

He still a juvenile not fully an adult so he doesn’t like his salad I tried collard and mustard greens, his basking temps are usually up to 90, he has a 100 watt basking light for a 40 gallon tank and has a thrive 20 inch strip light fixture with a uvb with a 18inch 50 watts

I feed him super worms and crickets but I think I need to stop feeding him superworms got to get Dubia roaches because today this morning I saw that he pooped or threw up superworms which is not good.

The UVB needs to be a Reptisun 10.0 bulb the fixture is fine make sure the cover is off so bulb is exposed-- his basking temps are not high enough and need to be 105-110- a heat gradient is good to offer- it sounds like he's not digesting his food properly that would be basking temps not high enough--- the UVB is not providing enough UVB for calcium absorbancy us the UVB in the tank? It needs to be 8-10 inches from basking spot--- start using the super worms as a lure to get him to the salad bowl- you can also use bsfl-- order them from here www.symtonbsf.com-- use as many as you want do not dust them order large and use a glass bowl they can't get out of-- make sure you add the worms to the bowl in front of him so he sees you doing this butter worms silk worms can all be used as well as dubias--- feed salad first thing in the morning before your staple feeder-- but you must get your basking temps up and UVB bulb changed out--- you will see a difference in his behavior

Right now the basking is at 102 and I’m going to go buy reprising 10.0 right now but can you help me out on how I can put the fixture inside the tank ? I have no clue how to put it there

Hang it inside approx 8-10 inches from his decor spot- hang w/ long plastic zip ties- 3m Velcro fasteners-- fishing line- shoe laces-- or some hanging plant wire- picture wire hangers- your fixture is 18 inches? Get the T 8 bulb

Can you send me some pictures of your tank or items ? I just bought a reptisun 10.0, he still won’t eat for today maybe cause of his head shedding will he be okay ? Yesterday he ate only a few crickets

This is Blazes tank - he has a 14% bulb in his tank that is why it is to the top of screen - I just replaced Hiccups UVB and went back to the T5 bulb so I had to lower his UVB to the 12-15 inches in his tank - I use a stainless steel rod that is thin that my husband got from work -- as long as he is eating something that is good his appetite should increase --- are you feeding salads and if you need help on getting him to eat them I can help

Right now I offer him a super worm and he ate one but didn’t want crickets or another superworms which I think is because of his head about to shed is all grey and now he went inside his cave to sleep, I always offer him collard greens when feeding him I dump crickets and superworms into the dish with the green and he at times grabs green by mistake but spits it out or he at times eats it.

:lol: spits it out --- go figure!!! So he may be tired of crickets-- have you tried some dubia roaches? I would get some of those www.dubiaroaches.com along w/ some butter worms and get a mixture of salad - try some mustard greens or turnip mix w/ your collards -- also some BSFL try those they are small so order them from dubia roaches or you can also get them from here www.symtonbsf.com order large and do not dust them w/ the calcium-- add those to your salad and make sure he sees you doing this so it lures him to the bowl - make sure your using a glass dish the bugs/ worms cant get out of - only eating one worm is not enough --- I would up your basking temps to 105-110-- that 100 watt bulb may need to go to a 150 but make sure you have a digital probe to take the basking temp -- you can spray his head w/ a water bottle warm water to get the skin moist and if its starting to come off or when it does spray again and use a soft tooth brush to loosen it

Bossk was been active today trying to get out of his tank, I was gonna feed him he ate one superworm than he seemed interested in crickets but only ate one and proceeded to glass surf meaning he wanted to use the bathroom I took him out and put water water on him and some for his head than he was getting easy to poop but his poop was all mushy again not firm is it because he hasn’t ate anything ? Or is Time to go to a vet to check for parasites ?

Yes-- see if you can drop sample off for them to do fecal test and go from there

The vet said his a healthy boy but will check his poop just Incase haven’t heard anything yet but I have one question are spotted and dubia roaches the same ? ima about to get some right now at petco cause I can’t wait to get them online much
