Not eating and looking very sad like

40 Gallon Breeder, Zilla slimline desert fixture (plastic cover taken off) with the Reptisun 10. uvb bulb in it. Zoo Med 150 Watt repti basking spot lamp in the Fluker's clamp lamp with the dimmer.He basks on his rock which is 13 inches down from the lamp

Everyone asks lighting so I figured Id post it first. In another post I had asked about Gonzo jumping up the side of the glass at the back of his cage. Not really glass surfing but he will get on his log and jump as high as he/she can and then keep scratching at the glass, then run over to his rock and do the same thing. He is a very good jumper. I thought maybe this was because Gonzo was starting a shed or wanted out. Now I am more concerned.

Gonzo also has not ate for about 4 days and looks very tired all the time (that's the only way I can explain it) He/she just looks sad and I noticed has been dozing off more during the day and going to sleep earlier at night. When we let Gonzo out he will walk around for a while and then either perch on the back of the couch cushion or snuggle under a blanket, pillow or sheet and go to sleep but when I try to put a blanket or something in the tank he wont crawl in/or under it.

Gonzo has been pooping though. I have been giving him/her regular baths. Most of the tail has shed and maybe a little around the eyes and feet. I was thinking if more shed doesn't show up and the behavior doesn't change that I will schedule a vet visit. Any suggestions? We still cant tell if Gonzo is a boy or girl. I had posted one picture and one suggestion was a girl. The flashlight thing didn't work with trying to get the tail up and stay still.

I will try to get a picture in the morning of what Gonzo looks like right now and edit this post to add it. I am sorry with so many questions since we got Gonzo. They have so many different behaviors as you don't know whats normal or when its time to take him to the vet.

Hi Candy, can you post a pic of Gonzo's vent with his tail arched up in the air ? I can probably sex him/her. Can you post pics of the entire set up ? He looks pretty healthy, but if everything else checks out you can have a fecal test done to rule out parasites.

I am not sure how to reply to your answer so you will look at this again but I will try this. Gonzo is about 7 months about 17 inches long he weighs 13.4 ounces. He has lost .85 ounces in 13 days. I will call the vet later this week if he/she still doesn't eat. I can tell the way the cage was when I got home that the jumping and scratching the glass was going on. I attached the best picture we could get for sexing. I am thinking a girl but we have been just saying he for so long it will be hard to adjust to saying she. I added a picture of his tank also. He usually has been lying up in the tree a lot half asleep and he sleeps there at night. He usually has a pretty tight grip on it so I was confident that he wouldn't fall during the night. Last night he wasn't even holding on so I took him out and put him on the blanket and he slid up and slept leaning belly up against the glass.

I also posted a screenshot from the video I took of him/her jumping up the side of the tank.

Candy, Gonzo looks like a girl. There are two short lumps right above the vent, but the hemipenes are always located higher up and further apart, not like you see in the pic. I've never seen a male with the hemipenes like that. Gonzo's weight is good, losing 24 grams is a bit high, but that's from not eating and keep in mind that they can lose 15-20 grams with one poo. Are you sure the temps. aren't too hot ? A 150 bulb sounds pretty hot.

But again, if she keeps worrying you, have a fecal test done.

It has a dimmer on it. Temp are at 100 in basking area.
