not counting my chickens but... (brumation)

my baby girl Lola is going to be 1 on the 13th Oct and she is doing great as i'm in England the weather has turned cold and horrible and last week Lola Belle decided she wanted to brumate... ANYWAY.. b4 i put her down i gave her a bath and weighed her made sure she had a poop and snuggled her up for what i thought was gna be the rest of the winter!!

Well to my surprise this morning i woke up sat up and through my pander eyes i saw this little face lookin at me through the glass!! i couldnt believe it i even rubbed my eyes and took a second look :shock: ! it has only been a week! ... i put her lights on and she strolled straight over and got under her lamp and sat there for a good few hours warming her cockles!!!

has anyone ever heard of any beardies only sleeping for a week during brumation season? or do you think she might go back down? should i try and feed her? she seems happy enough its just a little unexpected! god i hope thats it for this winter i love seeing her everyday and havin cuddles

sounds normal to me!
Last week the Commissioner slept for 2 days, and now he's out basking and eating like normal all week. He tends to go on and off through out fall and early winter, and finally settles down for a big nap January/February. Don't worry too much if she doesn't have a poop before she starts the cycle, if you give her a couple baths a week even when burmating, if she needs to poop it will happen.

she is basking and spending alot of time under the heat lamp but she hasnt regained her apatite il keep offering mayb she is getting ready fir a big sleep *sigh.. thanks for getting back to me
