Nose Rub

I have a 2 year old bearded dragon. She lives in a 5’x2’x3’ tank that I made, the doors open up so she can run out, it’s on the floor and the doors are made of screen mesh. She likes to run around my room and she’s allowed out when I’m home but whenever I leave sometimes she’ll want to get out and will push and run against the doors. She’s broken them before and made a hole but I’ve patched it up and now she just has severe nose rub. I don’t know how to get her to stop. Is there another material I should use for her doors that would help. How can I treat her existing nose rub? I do have an exotic vet nearby that i’ve been to before but I know that reptiles are pretty good at patching themselves up. I really just want her to stop doing it since it’s getting really bad.

First thing I would get her off the floor and see if this doesnt help -- in the meantime you can put some raw unpasteurized honey on it -- it will promote healing -- then if getting her off the floor doesnt help I would get some doors like glass or acrylic doors is going to be expensive - it probably wont help w/ her doing the surfing thing she may not do it as much -- shes got a good size tank but I am thinking since she can see the floor its enticing her -- try getting her off the floor first see what she does --
