From what I've read, there is no "normal" amount of times a year that a beardie sheds, right? The previous owner of Gizmo told me that he shed twice in a 6 month span.... just wanted to get a concrete answer from the group.

Thanks :study:

Well normall shedding means that there is growth happening in the dragon. If it is a younger baby dragon, it will have the need to shed more often because it is growing. As an adult beardie, it won't be growing so much, so will shed less often. Twice in 6 months for an adult beardie sounds okay.

I have trouble counting with my beardie, cuz he sheds in parts- one arm, then 1/2 his tail and on like that. Since he's no longer growing, it seems to be pretty random.

Yeah Gizmo's front feet (from the wrist down) seem to look like they are about to shed, they are a lighter color (and have been for a few days now), but there has been no flaking or actual shedding yet... but since he's my first lizard and I've never seen one shed, I'm really not sure what to expect/etc.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
