Normal poop?

Just curious what normal BD poo looks like. I just rescued a "maybe 1yr.old" BD who was living in poor conditions, hence the rescue, and he had what I would consider "diarrhea". It was a pile but very wet... Almost runny...:( And stunk something terrible.

His cage was DISGUSTING, filled with old apples, never removed so those were rotten, weird (big) yellow leaves of some sort that had mold all over them and a cracker that he had been fed and took one bite out of bcuz, I'm sure, he was starving!! :'( .... AND NO HEAT LAMP!! So sad!! The guy had no choice but to hand him over to me!!

Anyways, on a better note, he is so happy now (I think) but after 8 days his poop is now more solid but almost flaky.. and still a little stinky...?? I'm sure it'll take time, just curious if anyone thought that maybe he has any parasites or anything? He seems to be more active than ever now so I know he's feeling SO MUCH BETTER!! Drinking water like a champ... his poor little eyes seemed a little "sunken in" so he's gotten a bath every other day so far and seems to like it! I plan on taking him to the vet soon if his poop doesn't "clear up" in another week..

Any suggestions??

Ideally it will be a well formed log with a bright white urate attached to one end. That's ideal though and they don't always look that way. Since he is probably stressed out and needs time to adjust to proper lighting and diet, I'd give him a few weeks. Once he is stabilized, his digestion may work itself out. If it's still clear the room stinky and not well formed after a few weeks, bringing a sample to the vet and getting him an overall checkup is a good idea. I'm really glad you were able to get him out of that situation and into a good home =)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
