We've had Lizzy for 3 months now and *crosses fingers* we have gotten her through her rough gravid period. Now I'm wondering what a typical 3 y/o bear die behaves like? Our only other experience with bear dies is with a male that is about 11 months old and he's very spunky and active. He will run around and has to be watched very closely. Lizzy on the other hand when she is out of her cage mostly lays around or sleeps. In her cage she does enjoy a good digging session every now and again, but sleeping seems to be her game.
I have already mentioned here before that she has the ReptiSun 10.0 tube which improved her in a lot of ways about a month ago. Has a 40g breeder viv. Eats dubias about every other day and a fresh salad twice a day. She also gets a bath daily, which she loves and will give me the evil eye at the door of her viv if I'm late or forget. It's amazing how they become acclimated to a routine! She gets 20 min of sun on our patio every morning as well. We rescued her from a previously very, shall we say, unfulfilling life.
I'm not saying I'm not happy she isn't more active as I love her just the same and am just as happy with her sleeping on my chest. I was just curious if this was more an age thing?
