Hi everybody
I'm tired of just smiling and nodding when i hear these terms tossed around
i know some of them, don't worry, but i want to get some concrete answers and definitions
thanks in advance

morph
hypo
translucent
het
double het
Probable Dbl Het
luesistic
snow
citrus
leatherback

some of these may be obvious or repetitive, but i think it will be helpful to a lot of people
if you see any words i missed that should have made it on there, please add them and the definitions (if you know them)

Well, I'm pretty much a noob too, but I've done a lot of research, and since no one else has gotten to you yet, I'll do my best... All those experienced please feel free to correct me!! :D

morph - variety, this is the "type" of dragon. I think of it like a Laborador Retriever - there's yellow, black, etc. Different colors, but the same breed. An example of a morph is Tiger - there are different color variations, but they all have a striped appearance.
hypo - as far as I know, this is a genetic term, having to do with whether the morph will be inherited
translucent - this is an indication of the type of scales, translucent scales are see-thru, thus allowing the colors to show better. Translucents are usually pale colors, I think - yellows, oranges, blue, etc.
het - short for "heterogenous" again a genetic term relative to inheritability, some dragons are a certain morph, but will not pass that to their offspring. The breeders will be able to better explain.
double het - see answer for "het" - I believe this means both parents are heterogenous
Probable Dbl Het - see double het, probable is self-explantory
luesistic - I believe this is a morph, these dragons are very light colored, almost silver or white
snow - again, a morph, very light colored; but not specifically luesistic, which I think is inheritable.
citrus - a morph producing yellowish orange dragons, some are bright yellow, others are more yellowish/orange
leatherback - this refers to the scales again, I don't think the leatherbacks have any scales on their backs, which makes their colors very clear and bright. In pictures (look for posts from Bloodbank Dragons) you can see their skin is different than other dragons - it does look like leather.
italian leatherback - a specific type of leatherback, I don't know what makes them Italian, but I know they are very highly colored and they're expensive!

Hope this helps a little til someone else can clarify more.

sivuh5 got most right, to clarify a few things

hypo- short for hypomelanistic which mean a reduction of black or brown pigment. These dragons generally have a white or light gray background with vibrant color unless they are pastels, then you get a very light colored dragon.

translucent- another morph, the skin has a slight translucent look to it. As babies you can often see organs through the skin. Especially on the belly. They usually have pure black eyes. Its believed these dragons are lacking white pigment.

het- short for "heterogenous. It just mean a dragon carries one recessive gene but doesn't show that trait. Het for hypo would mean that dragon can make hypo babies when bred to either a hypo or another het for hypo.

double het- This means they have hets for different traits. This is common in hypo translucent lines.

Probable Dbl Het- this means a dragon might be het for two different traits.

luesistic- Technically there are no leucistic dragons, this is a improper term for really light colored, sometimes vividly white dragons.

snow- the original pale/white line of dragons. They are basically colorless normals.

citrus- A line of citrus colored dragons, generally given to bright yellow dragons. There are also tangerine citrus that are vivid orange.

leatherback- Genetic trait responsible for reduced scales, makes a dragon feel like smooth leather

italian leatherback- leather back trait developed in Italy, generally better quality of smoothness then the american line.

awesome
and as people either think of things they see everyday and don't know exactly, feel free to add them to the list
whether they be specific morphs or whatnot
i think just having a place where a new beardie owner can come and get a glossary would be really great

All of them refer to colour morphs (quick google image search with these should show you the colour difference between all of them) apart from: OGG which stands for Original german giant

German Giants are a bloodline of larger dragons that originated from Germany. It is highly doubtful that any true/pure lineage of this bloodline still exist in the US and has now become a "tag" line for any large dragon by sellers.

the issue of just doing a google search for morphs is that if you type in "crimson red" you find a "crimson/ogg/crawley X hypo red/saturday red" which does not really tell you what a crimson red looks like, or where it comes from
so i was thinking that some of the definitions could show the history, origins, and maybe something that makes that morph that specific morph

They are just colours mate, the breeders just call them that there is no definite origin apart from the Chris Allen and Crawley which actually are the breeders. The morph terminology is so convoluded this days that it does'nt make sense anymore. There are times you would see Chris Allen red/Crimson Red x Tangerine hypo sandfire (now with that you would expect a red baby) but the offsprings come out yellow lol. The sellers just tend to keep stacking on the names of the previous parents, grandparent, great grand parents without even looking at what the offsprings actually look like.

I thought OGG stood for Orange German Giant. Wow i was off on that one. And yeah a breeder can (and often will) pick a name out of thin air to coin as their own to make their line "stand ou"

I could start calling every dragon i produce nuclear reds and people would be like  lol but it wouldnt mean anything.

Moot is an actual word and not computer lingo. It can be defined quite a few different ways depending on the context in which it is being used. Generally it is used when people want to make a point that something is irrelevant or unimportant or that it has been discussed so many times it is not worth getting into. The flip side of that is that it can be used to open a subject to argument or dispute.
Hope this helps :D
