No To Phoenix Worms????

His Highness, Merlin has decreed after sampling phoenix worms that they are not to his liking. I gave him 24 hrs. with no crickets and he still wouldn't eat them. To his credit, he did try them. Ate about four and then turned his nose up to them. Of course, I gave in before he did and he really went to town on the crickets when I gave them to him this morning so obviously he was quite hungry and still refusing the worms. I am so disappointed. I was looking forward to less crickets in my life! Any suggestions... Merlin is seven weeks old and already has me doing his bidding. It's scary....

I'm having the opposite problem Nef won't touch crickets and he's having me go out and buy phoenix worms at $18/100 - $32/100 I'm gunna be broke by the time he can eat supers.

I have a several month old beardie and he wasn't fed Pw's at the breeder. So it has taken him some time to come around. I put the PW's in a bowl they can't get out of and put them in Diablo's cage. I leave them in there throughout the day.

Twice, both times while I wasn't watching he ate them all. If I give them and watch him, he won't eat them.

So I feed Diablo crickets twice a day and some mustard greens and I leave the PW's in the bowl. He didn't want crickets today and he ate all his PW's (while I wasn't watching) I caught him in the bowl finishing up.

Give your dragon some time. He might eat them yet. I am one of those owners gladly willing to pay for Phoenix worms so I don't have to mess with crickets. I spend more time cleaning the cricket cage and feeding the crikets than I do with Diablo.

Keep trying, he will probably eat them eventually. Plus my Sugar Gliders and Hedgies like the PW's AND you don't have to dust them!!!!! Love it!

I think you're right. If I keep trying he will eventually eat more of them. I've been leaving them in there and he definitely is sneaking a few here and there and the really good news is that he's starting to eat a lot more than he did (granted it's crickets and salad) when I first got him. I am definitely starting to understand why everyone on here refers to themselves as, "Beardie Slaves." He has me wrapped around his little claw.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
