I've done a search on the subject of not pooping and picked up some canned pumpkin. Unfortunately it hasn't helped yet.

A little background info:
Daytona is roughly 7 months old and usually eats like a champ. As a matter of fact she's still going after her crickets and mealies like usual but won't touch her salads at all. She refuses to eat the pumpkin unless I take a spoon and put a little bit at a time on the end of her nose which more or less forces her to eat it if she wants it off. She's been getting her warm baths once or twice a week like normal and is behaving normally but it's been several days with nary a poop in the tank.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks guys.

I have her on millet for soft landings since she's a jumper. I keep ingestion to a minimum by feeding her in a feeding box even though the millet is digestable.

Hi again,
Ah well its good to be able to rule out something nasty like impaction!
If she's still eating live feeders thats a good sign, although im afraid at 7 months she might be going through the rebellious stage. Many beardies decide that they are FAR too grown up for veggies now and will only eat the yummy live ones. They can be very demanding. Dexter tries this trick all the time.
The switch in diet might be whats causing her to 'back up' her poop.

Id suggest showing her who's boss and only offering her veggies for a couple of days.
To get her interest you can sprinkle mealworms on top of her salad bowl. The mealys and finely shopped veggies should mean she accidently scoops up veggies when she's feasting on the worms.
Adding something like bok choi or cabbage into her veggies will also help to ease her pooping.
If you dont feed in the viv you might want to offer her this mix in the morning, and if (or more like WHEN) she snubbs this offering you can remove her, and offer her the same mix in the evening. She'll catch on fairly quick that not eating veggies means shes not getting the good stuff either.

A warm bath daily will also help her digestion. She only needs 5-10 minutes to feel the benefits.

Thanks, I'll try offering live feeders as "dessert". Right now she's looking at me mournfully wondering where her crix are. Hopefully this will get her eating and pooping properly again.

remember they are crafty little devils.
she will learn that if she sulks she can get her own way.

try and be firm for a couple of days. i know its hard not to be a slave to our masters, but it will help in the long run :)

Update:
Well it's been a couple days and she's still completely refusing to eat her greens. I think I'm going to go to the store today and see if I can get something a little different since she may be on a salad strike just because she wants something new. I've never had so much trouble with any of my herps, LOL. The geckos certainly aren't picky. :banghead:

They are fussy little devils its true.

Try something aromatic to stir her interest like rocket leaves.
Failing that I sumtimes flick peach/orange juice on top of her bugs/greens just so she goes "ooo.... why do my bugs smell different? NOM NOM NOM. hey! its a trick!!!!"

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
