no eating/pooping + lethargic all the time!

Kazi is not himself at the moment. Its been going on for a while now but its only now that we are all starting to worry. He has spent the last 6 months 'considering' brumation but never quite getting there. He would spend a day hiding in the corner but be an absolute mad man (as usual) the following day!

Now, thought, that mad man seems to have disappeared. Over the course of the past 2 weeks, he has eaten maybe 4 superworms and pooped once. He hasnt had more than a mouthful of salad over that entire period. He doesnt really bask much.... he just spends his day lying on top of his turtle hut, then, about 5.30pm (4.5 hrs before lights out) he will be sound asleep inside his other log. He doesnt glass dance, he doesnt move around, he just sits there. The only thing he seems to do is vary the colour of his beard

I convinced myself it was just some odd little brumation but the longer it goes on, the more im starting to see my little Kazi-man disappear. I have called the vet (this will be, I think, my 5th vet in the past year) who will call me back when he is in the surgery. But until then, I need to do something to help get my little Kazi-man back to normal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

Please remind me of your lighting, the UVB, etc you are using?
How often does he get supplementation now as an adult?
How do his stools look, are they really runny & smelly?
You are in Australia right, if so, he could be going into a brumation though. However, if you are observing some odd behavior you are doing the right thing in getting him a fecal exam, & a little check up.
Are you getting any food into him, using a dropper or a syringe?

Thanks for your response. We are in the UK.

Kazi is under a 100w Mega-ray which is approx 5 months old. It is 13 inches from him when he is basking. Max temp in the basking area is 103.

He is now 15 months old and, usually, gets Calypso calcium 3 x per week and nutrabol 1x per week. However, I think he has eaten 1 dusted food item over the past month.

His last stool was about 10 days ago and was in the bath.... it was reasonably normal altho quite large as it had been about 6 days since the previous poop. But I guess no food = no poop. I doubt that he is impacted as there is no loose substrate, unless the superworms are causing a problem - but I have had a good feel of his tummy and dont even feel a poop getting ready.

Because I thought there was a chance that this was brumation, I didnt start on the slurry/baby food as I didnt want to spoil him to get as lazy as our Abu - she expects all food to jump straight into her mouth! I will make something up to day and try to get him to take something that way!! Hopefully the vet will call me back today and I can get him in there this evening!

Kazi got up at about 3pm today.... a few hours later, I tried offering him a locust... he seemed interested in it, turning his head to look at it and sticking his tongue out a little but within a second, he closed his eyes and turned his head away from it. I tried to get some chicken babyfood into him but he had absolutely no interest in it at all. He was in bed again by about 7pm.

The vet still hasnt called back. I called the surgery again this morning and they said he would be in touch... but im still waiting
