So my boy is doing this weird thing at night. I turn out his lights, rooms pitch black, he goes to bed like a good boy.

Then in the middle of the night, he wakes me up.. Running back and forth, glass dancing, freaking out like somethings wrong. I get up, turn the lights on, nothings wrong.. Hes just flipping out in the middle of the night for no reason

Nothing has changed, the temps are all fine at night,

I'm fighting a nasty cold and really need my sleep,

Could someone please tell me why my sweet boy is doing this? I know he normally does this during the day when he wants out.. Like hes doing it right now, silly bugger. But at night? When its pitch black? :banghead:

No, just last night and the night before are the only times hes ever done it. Unless I've been sleeping threw it.

And it was pitch black, I don't know how he could have seen anything..

Hes done this before in the middle of the day and woken me up from my naps, but that's just because he wants to get out. Once I open the cage and let him roam my room for a while hes good.

From what I can tell hes dead asleep like me then wakes up out of a dead sleep freaking out.. Maybe hes having night mares?

I would chalk it up to breeding season starting soon... But none of my past males have done this before.

I wouldn't mind if it I could sleep threw it, but it wakes me up with a start, not the best thing when your fighting off a cold ><

And there's no bugs in the room, my dad would kill me if there where feeders out side their containers.

Though I did move the roach bin to the front of the cage, but I don't think they can see in to it at where its at.. Other wise Magenta would be going nuts 24/7.

Sorry for a repeat of information I should know already but, how old is he? Enclosure set up? Temperatures at night? What is his schedule? Food being fed? and how much time does he get out lately? (Does it differ from the past?)

Can he see your newest one?

He cant see Little Boy Blue

Temps are the same as always

100-105 depending on if dad is runing the heater

75 at night, (I dont want it to cold for the other dragons sake)

Greens daily(Collard, mustard and one other its a staple one just cant think of the name, Feeders 1-3 times a week depending on how much of the feeders he eat(Still trying to put some weight on him, Super worms)

He gets feed in the afternoon, about 2-3 pm everyday.

Hes been burmating lately, so he hasn't been coming out as much, but its normally once or twice a week. More so if he wanting out more. He comes out for as long as he wants, (usually about an hour before he gets bored and wants back in,) Its not different form the past, unless you count summer, he got out side time in the summer, but that was 4 months ago or so.

Non Adhesive shelf liner,

Let me know if I missed anything. My sick brains still killing me over here

we get craneflys in the house meby it was that or a fly

My step mom would freak if there was bugs loose in the house, so we are very careful when it comes to that, and my door is closed most of the time, so even if there where bugs in the house, they cant get into my room,

He was your original male, and now you have added a second? Possible he smells the new guy and is displaying some territorial behaviors while being opportunistic as to when to explore them?
I am unsure, to tell you the truth and slightly reaching. If you feel concerned about anything health related (liver/kidneys) that can cause odd behaviors then there may be a blood test in his future. Can you give it a day or two and see if this behavior subsides?

Within sight or not, doesn't matter, if they are not separated by a solid wall they know. Kind of odd sometimes to see one dragon react to another one when they cannot see each other. Not saying this is the issue though.

Roys in the middle cage

Little Boy Blue is in the top middle cage..

I guess it could be an issue, but Roys never done this before, but then again, all the other rescues that I have had for a while then rehomed have been females.

I'm considering calling it night mares.. I mean all animals dream right?

Possible it's nightmares but, I would fathom a guess at it being another male.
I have 4 males, even when one is covered by a curtain, say Ifrit is covered and Des is covered (as is typical) and Ifrit head bobs cause Odin is eating... strangely enough Odin will start waving... Seka will duck her head down and Thor will get upset that Ifrit is upset and Des just sits there like "what an dumb dumb"..

I will try to get this on video some day. It really trips me out trying to figure it out.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
