Night time temperature?

I have a dial thermometer in the middle of my tank, I ordered a probe today which I will use to measure the basking spot, it reads 16 degrees Celsius at night. Should I buy a ceramic heat emitter and if so what watt do you suggest? I don't want my babies getting cold Thanks!

The lowest temps I have seen reccomended for beardies is about 65 degrees Fahrenheit at night so I would suggest getting a creamic heater if you drop to 60. I think the wattage would depend on what size enclousre you are trying to heat. I personally don't have a ceramic heater yet so I'm sure others that have experience with them can help more with the wattage.

Well my tank is just under 3ft, I'm using a 40W basking light but have just ordered a 60W and a thermometer probe. My first beardies so trying to get everything perfect!

i am a little unsure about my heat mat as i am wondering if it is worth having it on at night has my Rex sleeps on his branch up by the UV light which is off at night.
If he is not on the mat at do i need it on at night? and does it make a difference? my V iv was designed and made by previous owners and it is tall and long, i don't know whether to try it for the night with out the heat mat any ideas????
