nice new enclosure

I am building a large new enclosure for my beardy Rex he is full grown and the enclosure I am using now a 40 gal just seems restrictive for him so I went to my work place and picked up some double hung display windows with popout paines to make cleaning a breeze and I want to mount all for of them together to make a large box type shape I consider myself to be somewhat of a wood expert because I have worked at home improvement stores such as lowes/homedepot for 4 years in the lumber department I want to use cedar posts for the sides sanded smoth so as to look nice the hole thing will be aprox 36inch square X 24inch high the two questions are will the cedar smell hurt my dragon and if I use a wood sealer what type would be best I have read that a water based polycrylic or shellac would be good but that seems harsh.I dont want to cover up the wood with lamanit so what should I use that wont hurt Rex

Sounds nice, but yes cedar is a big no no for beardies. Oak is safe but costly. You could always use deck composite for the corner posts. Just a thought.

I use Miniwax Polycrylic and have no problems with it for sealing. The possibilities are endless really. All depends on what kind of finished product you want. Natural wood look, stained or painted?

Cost of cedar is not a problem I work for a home improvement warehouse i wont say wich one but its Home Depot or Lowes normal price for a 8Ft. cedar post is about 32 my cost is 15 mabe ten depending on what strings I can pull thankyou for the reply I uploaded a pic of the windows they all have panes they are just poped out for storige but next week I start construction he should be ready to move in about a week later thanks again for the reply
