So far so good, owned my little guy for a week and been taking very good care of 'em. I recently measured the little guy and from snout to vent, was only about 2 inches. It isn't a hatchling of course and is around 6 months, give or take. I know as long I continue feeding it the right stuff and all it'll grow over time but I've been wondering, is length just used for aging beardies or is it actually used to gauge what can and can't be eaten? Of course I know the whole nothing wider than the length between the eyes and all but, I was wanting to give the little guy a treat here and there. Like waxworms, they're soft bodied so there's no risk of impaction. And yes, I know, they can get addicted but I'll be careful with that. I just want to spoil the little guy a bit, show it that I really really love it.
What do you guys say? Just stick with the tiny crickets and veggies or would giving it waxworms be ok?
p.s. I see this all over the site and all but sadly, phoenix worms just aren't an option for me unless Petsmart, Petco, Jack's Aquarium and pets or Planet Pet suddenly decided to carry them. :|
