I have purchased a 36x18x18 front opening enclosure.

What size ReptiSun 10.0 should I get?

I have searched the forums and seen the great pics of placement but I can't quite tell how far it should be across.

Thanks so much and any other tips would be great too.

I'm also buying slate tonight for substrate. I need to cut them to fit. Is there risk of him cutting his goes on the sharp edges? I'm not sure the best way to do this.

I'm one of those folks that needs someone to tell me exactly what size/wattage or kind to buy.

I'll buy anything but I want the best for our new little guy. He didn't have a great start to life.

I would suggest a 22" (24W) T5 reptisun in a high quality reflective hood OR the Arcadia 12% in the hood sold by light your reptiles. Set off the the basking side with some areas of shade on both the warm and cool side it will give you good exposure for your little one.

I use the sunblaster w/ nanotech fixture but those don't sit on tool of a cage, it would need a hanger.

Do they just sit on top of the enclosure? The top is glass.

The store here for the repti-sun is only giving two sizes of 12" and 24".

And wattage of 17W or 15W

I am in Canada so we have different options apparently.

Oh, sorry!

If you can't get the T5 the go with the longer one of the two you listed then, and it would need to be on the same side of the glass as the lizard. I saw somewhere a dealer in Canada that sells the Arcadia line online.
