im not all that new to beardies (but not an expert either) but found this forum and it seems like a good place to be- amongst other people who have a passion for beardies!! my first was a few years ago, Petri. i lost him after a year and a half cuz i reluctantly listented to a friend (against my instincts) and switched Pete from carpet to walnut shell. Pete apparently loved the taste. i woke up one morning and there he was eating gobb fulls of it and wound up w/ an impaction. i LOVED that beardie. i havent found one w/ the same personality til now (Igor). ive had a couple in the meantime. one that got an impaction from worms (Dingo) and one that was sick when i got her but didnt know about it (Boomer). i wouldnt normally buy a dragon from places like petco but Igor looked really healthy, alert and active. i just got him on sunday (aug. 21) and hes settling in just fine. hes very social and loves to be held! anyways, nice to be among people who love beardies as much as i do
