New viv (tall) questions on lighting!

Hey all I recently moved my lil Rigs to his new tank (old fish tank) but new to him non the less! I just got him the new dragon head and rearranged everything! Before this I had it exactly the same as the old one to try to ease him into the new environment. I'm not sure the size of the new tank its an odd one like 38 gal? (weird I know but bigger than 20! woohoo!) It is difficult for me to tell the size I need to get a tape measure already, but I know it is tall and I wanted to make sure the light got in there so, I am a little nervous about it, the lights are on the inside! But it is just to tall to have them outside, and he needs a few more rocks in there I had to lay some paper towels under the rocks to cover the gaps in between them (the rocks boarder the edge of the repti-carpet) but this viv still has to be such a step up for the lil fella! Hopefully you can see good in the pics let me know if you can't I'll post more specific ones if needed! Any suggestions or words to put my mind at ease would be so greatly appreciated I am new and learning and always want to improve his life!

You say the lights are on the inside, like it's a bad thing! That's great! You want your beardie to be able to get within 10 inches of your UVB while he basks and you don't want any screen or plastic in between the bulb and your beardie, so mounting it inside is ideal. As for the heat lamp being inside, that's perfectly fine too, so long as there's no way for your beardie to get close enough to burn himself on the bulb or dome.
