New UVB Light

Hey everyone! Quick question--I am looking for a UVB light that sits UNDER the screen top. Does anyone have any suggestions? The one that came with the set is trash...and it's just one more thing that I am afraid will get broken because it needs to be moved everytime we open the tank.

What size of enclosure are you using? You will need to get a little creative with mounting this inside but it can be done.

Hi!!! I am using a 20 gallon right now. Hopefully switching up to a 40 when we finish the reno in the new house.

So that one will be too big to mount inside. I will see what I can find that could work.

Can you measure diagonally across the top? Better yet give me all the measurements. It might fit.

That's a pretty shallow and narrow tank. ONLY OK for a hatchling / juvenile under 12" long (MAX).

You can get away with either an 18" T8 10% UVB tube
ie
Exo Terra Repti-Glo UVB 10.0 Desert T8 - 38cm 14W (PT2169) or Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 10.0 UVB Reptile Lamp, 17W mounted in a reflector hood mounted UNDER THE LID
or
as a minimum a 25W UVB200 compact in a Exo Terra Nano Hood mounted UNDER THE LID.

Allow the hatchling to climb to about 6 inches from the T8 10%UVB or the 25W UVB200 compact when basking.
