New tube lighting position

I just switched from a coil bulb to a tube and was wondering if he’d receive enough light if I continued to place the light fixture above the tank (even though it’s at a strange angle) instead of fixing it to the inside wall or something. Note: I removed any other light fixtures for the picture so I could highlight how much light it’s giving off. Thanks for the help

Does you fixture have a reflector and what tube brand and bulb T 5 or a T 8 that will tell me distance and placement

It's not about the amount of light but the amount of uvb. Just because it puts out light doesn't mean it's putting out enough uvb. That fixture looks like an under cabinet fixture which are usually t8 and don't have a reflector. If that's the case it will definitely have to go in and you'll have to get a reflector for it. As it is right now your dragon is getting little to no uvb. If you can, return that and get a t5 fixture with reflector.
