Aw, poor little one, she does look weak. I'm afraid that the half of large cricket may be very difficult to digest. Baby beardies can eat loads of tiny crickets, but a large one is much too hard to digest. When she shakes her head, did she open her mouth at all ? That is how they vomit....so I really hope that's not what's happening. A vet may not be too helpful, if they are inexperienced they can do more harm than good. If they are truly experienced with beardies, they might help her. Some vets want to give tiny babies shots of this and that, and it can be harmful in a weakened state. She is extremely fragile right now, I can tell from looking at her. If she is impacted, she may need a little vegetable oil, and a warm shallow bath. Try the warm bath, it's different than laying in the water bowl. Just be SURE to hold her head up, and keep the water warm. And get some baby food ASAP. That might help her.

She looks very dehydrated imo. Have you been giving her 10min+ soaks every day? I hope she perks up for you guys. The easiest way to get her to eat baby food is by syringe. If your state allows it you can buy the small 1ml syringes w/ out a needle work great (or if you know a diabetic). If not then go to the pharmacy at your store and ask for a syringe to give your 'baby' medicine (they don't need to know it has 4 legs and scales lol).
My dragon is 4months old, 10 inches and 38 grams and he is a 'problem eater' too so he is on the smaller side of normal.

We tried giving her a bath and right when we set her in there her tail went up, mouth was wide open and she went into a seizure. Now she is back in her tank on her rock where we set her and it looks like she has the hiccups. she doesn't have enough energy to even pick up her head. What are we supposed to do now? How do we fix this?

Clear pedialyte, 2 parts water to 1 part pedialyte will help keep hydrated. It really does look like she's impacted. I suggest the warm soak in a pan and massaging gently her underbelly from shoulders to vent.

Make sure the water wasn't too hot. Test it with the inside of your wrist, it should be baby bath water temperature. You're going to need to get some food/lubricant in her. There's oil as was suggested by another poster here, use the syringe and give a bit and some baby food.

I am so sorry to hear this. She really didn't look well in the pictures. I would let the woman (won't call her a breeder, breeders CARE for their animals!) know first think in the morning. As far as advice on what to do to help her now I'm not sure. Just know my prayers are with you. I'm sorry you are loosing your little one.

The more I looked at her the more I thought she looked really unhealthy too. We tried eveything to get her to eat earlier and she refused to open her mouth. Rarely have her eyes been open. Now she is lying in there, unfortunately for her still breathing, but after everything she has been thru in the past hour, there is no way she is going to live. I wish, I'm praying, it would just end so she didn't have to go through this anymore. I just feel so helpless. :( 2 days and I am hysterical. :(

I'm so sorry this is happening Tracy....she really was very ill, and a large cricket body, even cut in half, can't be digested. I'm afraid she is not going to make it. I would hope for a possible recovery, but I don't think there's anything you can do. So sorry !

I know there is nothing I can do, Mariah is in there watching her, I can't. It's just so heart wrenching. :( Both of us are crying hysterically. She was "fine" until we tried to put her in some water. When I say this, I mean we just put her down on the side where there was no water (and yes, it was warm). She instantly freaked out and then this series of events that are now leading to her death. She keeps turning her head so her "ear" is on the ground. She will be gone soon and I wish to God this was just over.

I want to thank you all for the support and help you have given us. At the moment,, I just can't be here, I can't see the pics, I need to just close this page. I'm sure it won't be long and we will be back with a health baby. In the meantime, take care and thank you again.

I know you may not see this right away, but I just want to tell you how sorry I am about all you've been through in the past couple of days. The woman who gave you this beardie was clearly at fault for her poor health. Please do not blame yourself for any of this. From the moment you got her, you have done everything in your power to improve her quality of life and ensure her health. The blessing in all of this is that her suffering has ended and she got to spend the last couple of days of her short life with people who truly loved her. And I know that with this experience you will move on to be a GREAT beardie mommy for another lucky beardie.

So so so sorry to hear this. :( But you did everything you could, and she looked frail when you got her. She is out of pain now- not confined by a thin, failing body. She at least spent her last days being loved and cared for.

I want to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for your kind words. Riley passed on last night after hours and hours after she went into shock...it was shock not a seizure as far as I am concerned.

I am still grieving, Mariah however has been in contact with a breeder. We are doing it right this time!! After seeing the pics that we posted of Riley, are they always this frail and fragile at 3 mos? I mean I know they are smaller of course, but Mariah is talking to these people about getting another 3 mo old and I can't repeat what we went through last night. It was the most painful thing I have ever seen. Is there an age that is better? Any input would be great, everyone here has been so helpful and I trust your input. Thank you all again. :)

Although I think that person should have all the babies taken away I would NOT recommend getting another baby from her if they look like Riley! From what I saw of Riley this person down not take proper care of her animals. Get another dragon, a normal 3 month old is healthy, but not from the same person.
That is my opinion at least. I am so sorry for the ordeal you went through loosing Riley.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
