Hi there, I agree that tank will be O.K for a while. Once he's settled in to your home and is O.K with handling you can let him out to roam in a safe room [ check the floor for coins, rubberbands, legos, etc because beardies often swallow these things ! ]
BTW, the Megaray is a good bulb so you can use it next year when the t5 tube loses it's uvb strength.
